iCarolines Librarian blogs

After first discovering Librarian Bloggers, I stumbled over the blog:
What I´ve learned today By Nicole C. Engard. It’s a blog about Web 2.0 and programming tips from a library technology enthusiast, wich seems interesting as she reviews the web 2.0 tools.

I will also keep an eye on Jess from Massachusetts and her blog Cool Librarian because she sort of undergoes the frustrations and successes of being a librarian 2.0

Finally a funny one to scout through is Library Revolution, especially Librarians and Technology: minimal competences.

I know we are only supposed to follow/find 3 blogs but this is also great.

iCarolines RSS feed reader

I just created a really 2.0-ish iGoogle complete with pictureslideshow, librarysearch, Wiki and blogfeeds. Took me hours to choose the background and I´m still not quite satisfied. I´m such a girl.

Ruths bling bling blond blog.....

To start with I signed up for the RSS feed from the course blog, and then installed igoogle, very smart and very very easy to use.
Then I tried to find three interesting blogs that mention or write about web or library 2.0..and the first blogger I found interesting was a librarian named David Lee King.
Then on my way, came Lauren who is also a librarian, and blogs about different things, among her different post on the blog, there is a lot about web 2. 0.
Finally there is the social networking librarian, Annalaura Brown. Her main interest is library 2.0.

Kristina's Web 2.0

I use a variety of web 2.0 applications i my daily life like: del.icio.us, iGoogle (where i also have link to my GoogleReader, politiken, Newz, the weather forecast, calender, notes and my del.icio.us account and at advanced searcher for the yellow pages (De gule sider)), Flickr, Instant messaging, Blog, Groups, Facebook, etc.

One of my bigtime favorites is Ravelry, which is at site for knitters, you have to get an approval to become a member of the site, so you have to send a description of why you would like to be a member, and then you maybe get accepted, just maybe. When you are a member there is a lot of tools you can use to keep track of your own knit-work, what yarn you have in your stash, what needles you are in the possession, but best of all, you can search other knitters works and see some of what they have knitted, and get their recepies and some of them are even freely avalible on the net or there are information on how to purchace the designs. Futhermore the have a cooporation with Flickr, so you can use the photos you have on flickr to show you knit-work. There are groups to different genres, countries, etc. and you can make favorites of both individual designs, designer, yarn, etc. It is in short words, heaven for at passionate knitter like me :o)
